Who is behind the Visa Center?

The Mihajlović Visa Center was founded on the idea of offering people and companies going through immigration procedures something more than help filling in forms, a clear plan, reliable support and someone who will follow their case from beginning to end.

We specialise in procedures relating to Germany and Serbia.

We assist individuals and families who wish to work, live or join their loved ones in another country, as well as employers and companies that need support in employing and relocating foreign nationals.

More than administrative assistance

We know that behind every visa or residence application there is far more than paperwork. For one person, a new job depends on the outcome. For another, a family being reunited. For a third, the start of a business in a new country.

That is why we do not see our work merely as preparing and submitting documents. Before we begin a procedure, we make an effort to understand the client's specific situation, review the documentation, identify potential problems and explain clearly what they can expect.

Depending on the service chosen, our support may include preparing documents and forms, communicating with employers and other parties to the procedure, monitoring the case, responding to requests for additional documents and communicating with the competent institutions.

Administrative support backed by legal expertise

What sets the Mihajlović Visa Center apart is that our work is not based on experience with administrative procedures alone. Behind the Center stands attorney Jovana Mihajlović, which is why we approach every case with additional attention to the legal questions that may affect its outcome.

This matters most when a procedure stops being routine, when a request for additional documents arrives, when there is a risk of refusal, when the procedure drags on unreasonably long, or when the options available to the client need to be assessed.

In proceedings conducted in the Republic of Serbia we can, where necessary, also provide full legal assistance and representation by an attorney, in accordance with the law.

Germany and Serbia: the two directions of our work

For clients moving to Germany we provide support in a range of procedures relating to work, residence and family reunification, from the first administrative steps and the preparation of documents through to monitoring the case and communicating with the competent institutions. Where a specific case calls for specialised legal assistance under German law or legal representation in Germany, we provide that part of the support in cooperation with partner attorneys admitted in Germany.

For foreign nationals coming to Serbia we provide administrative and legal support relating to visas, temporary residence, work and employment, family reunification, business residence and more complex immigration matters. As the Center is backed by an attorney admitted in the Republic of Serbia, in Serbia we can also provide full legal assistance and representation where required.

We also offer dedicated support to companies and employers that employ or relocate foreign nationals.

Our approach

We believe that good support starts with the client knowing what we are doing, why we are doing it and what the next step is. That is why we aim to translate complicated administrative and legal procedures into plain language, to be available when a problem arises, and to make sure the client is never left alone with the question: "What now?"

Our goal is not to promise an outcome that nobody can guarantee. Our goal is to prepare and conduct every case professionally, responsibly and with the greatest possible attention to the circumstances of the individual client.

The Center was founded out of our own experience: we saw that people starting a new life and career in Germany need clear information, solid organisation and someone who understands them first-hand. I am responsible for the organisation of our work and the strategic development of the Center.
